The Patents and Companies Registration Agency wishes to inform the general public and the business community that in its endeavor to keep up with the rapidly advancing world of technology and remain innovative, it has resolved to discontinue issuance of paper (hard copy) trade mark certificates and instead issue electronic certificates effective 1st September, 2022.
All electronic trade mark certificates will be emailed to the registered proprietors or their agents’ provided email address. The electronic certificate will be equipped with security features and a QR code that can be used to verify its authenticity. Further, the public and business community are encouraged to access our trade marks database at https://www.tmdn.org/tmview/#/tmview to confirm the registration status of their trademarks.
